More About us - When Maynard lived in Reno, Nevada, he played at dive bars (including the acclaimed Shae’s Tavern) until he moved to New York City in 2019. That was where he hit the stages and met Cupid at an Open Mic in Brooklyn. He spent a year trying to coax her to sing on his songs and when they finally began recording at a friend’s studio, Maynard was blown away by her talent and charm. Maynard has been searching for a certain type of music and when he couldn’t find it decided to make it himself. Presently they are finishing up their first album.  Thus, Cupid and the Cowboy was formed—all amidst the pandemic.
